When travellers talk about the old town in Bangkok, there will be a few names from them like Royal Palace, Khao San Road or Giant Swing. This tour we will take you to another area, Nang Loeng, is one of the oldest areas in Bangkok instead.
It has been the first local market in the district and it was the famous entertainment area. There were the casino, market and theatre as well.
Now, here is the place where you should come and try nice and yummy food!
In the morning, you will meet your guide at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. Then you will experience to take the local boat to Bo Bae Market, the cloths wholesale market in Bangkok. After that we will visit Nang Loeng, this community has a long history since the reign of King Rama III. Here, there are various people who migrated from southern Thailand and lived in this area.
We will walk through the community where it was the entertainment area which includes the casino, racecourse, market and theatre. Then we will try some local snacks and drink at Nang Loeng Market.
The last stop, we will visit the temple of the King Rama IV or Wat Somanas Rajavoravihan, you can see the beautiful buildings and grandeur stupa which the Thai-Chinese architecture that decorated with stucco patterns of Chinese auspicious flowers.
This program will be a part that could be reduced pollution and carbon emissions by using public boat and walk when convenient. In social impact, you will support Nang Loeng community to keep working in their own way of cultural conservation.
