Have you ever travelled by bus in Bangkok before?
The local bus is one of the most challenging forms of transportation for the traveller to catch around the city. Bangkok has many confusing bus stops, too many bus lines and it’s made even more difficult with a language barrier.
However, it is a great way to experience the city.
To begin this tour you will meet your guide in the morning at BTS Saphan Taksin Station (Exit number 1). Your local guide will then lead you on a walk to the wet market known as Bangrak Market.
Then you will catch a bus to visit Talad Noi, which is the old town of the Chinese community. Here you can try a famous curry puff made from a secret recipe. Afterwards, go for a walk through the community to see the old houses, shops and street art. You will then visit Cho Sue Kong to see the oldest shrine in the Chinese community.
Next we will catch another bus to visit Little India. Here you can see the life of Thai-Indian people and learn about their culture and food. We will then walk to visit the Sikh Temple, which is the first Indian temple in Thailand and was built over a 100 years! We will then take a break at the local breakfast shop to try some snacks and Masala tea.
Afterwards we will visit The Old Siam Plaza, the shopping mall where you can try a Thai dessert.
Then you will take a bus to Tatian community. Here, you will get to experience a seafood market and see how the locals live.
Next, we will walk to the Pak Klong, which is the flower market. After exploring the market, we will then head to Floral Café where you can enjoy a refreshing drink to finish the tour.
Then we will drop you off at subway MRT Sanam Chai station by noon – 1 P.M.
