This expedition supports Thai Puppet Performance conservation at Baan Silapin (Artist's House). There is a local arts & performance school for kids who living in the Khlong Bang Luang community to use their free time productively and avoid all vices. We will also support the masterpiece of the Thai royal handicraft at Baan Bu community for the conservative craftmanship.
🍀ITINERARY:
At 9:00 AM, you will meet your guide at BTS Saphan Taksin Skytrain station, Exit 1. Then we will take the public boat to Ban Bu. The Ban Bu community is known for its famous handmade and polished bronzeware. Here, you will be impressed by the amount of time, craftsmanship and dedication that goes into a single creation.
After spending time in this community, we will take a long-tailed boat to the Bangkok Noi canal. The canal has been restored into a cultural tourist area, where you can see the architecture, ancient remains, and remnants of old communities.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, it is time to visit Baan Silapin or The House of Artists. This traditional Thai house has been converted into a public space to preserve art and traditional performance styles such as puppetry. This is one of the city's “hidden gems”.
Continue the boat ride to the local area and admire the architecture and the temples of KING TAKSIN the great, who was the king of the THONBURI Era.
Then you will get to explore TALAT PHLU, a nearby food market. Let your expert guide help you navigate this foodies paradise and select the best snacks or desserts for you to taste.
Then the tour will end and you will take a Rod Kaprong ride to the BTS WUTTAKAT Skytrain station.
