SPECIALITY RICE TASTING and SCENIC RICE PADDY TOUR

This expedition will be part of generating a community development fund to ensure that every traveler's spending goes to support local people to develop and expand the community of organic rice farmers with agro-tourism at Khlong Yong Community.

• In the morning, you will meet your guide at your hotel lobby and take the public transport to the train station. Then we head to Nakhon Pathom by local train to visit the “Garden of Bangkok”. Many ingredients are produced or farmed from this area such as rice, fruit and flowers.

• At Nakhon Pathom's arrival, we will start to see the wet market's products including raw ingredients and local foods. Then we take another public truck to the village.

• In the Khlong Yong community, they are a group of farmers who would like to be change-makers with organic rice farming as they have started to farm without chemicals. They are also very proud of the types of rice they are growing and have been able to re-establish specialty local rice crops. Here, you will visit the rice paddies with a local farmer as a guide and by the tractor. The farmer will teach you about the importance of farming that is good for the environment and also people's health.

• You will also have a chance to visit the farmer's house and learn about the different farming tools.

• Then we will go back to the community center to have lunch. You will try the specialty kind of organic rice from the farmer. Then you can join them to make the traditional Thai rice dessert.

• After the full day journey in the village, we will travel back to Bangkok by private vehicle.
