Visit this mangrove village, situated in the Laem Ngop area, approximately 17 kilometers southwest of Trat.
Many travellers will go by this small port town on their way to famous islands such as Koh Chang, Koh Kood and Koh Mak. This is a shame because there is so much to see!

🍀ITINERARY:
- DAY1: Trat Arrival (-/L/D)
Upon arriving at Trat’s airport/bus terminal (arrival time to be advised), your local guide will pick you up and take you to a black sand beach. Enjoy a relaxing morning before heading to the mangrove village.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
You will then check in to your home stay and meet your hosts.
Enjoy some leisure time in the afternoon.
Dinner will be served with a local family.
Overnight: Simple and comfortable homestay, bedding and mosquito net are provided.- DAY2: Mangrove Village Homestay (B/L/D)
Begin the day with a lamp shell hunting boat trip. Take a boat ride through the mangrove forest to the sea where you can try to find lamp shells. Note: the water level is approximately 1 metre deep and there will be life jackets available. There will be a snack served on board and you can enjoy a swim in the sea.
You will then return to the homestay around 9:30AM, take a shower and have breakfast.
After breakfast we will take you on a village sightseeing tour by “saleng” or local sidecar. On this tour you will visit the main attractions such as Local Museum House, Laem Makham temple (temple of Buddhist and Muslim) and 100-year-old Wooden Figures House.Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
After the sidecar tour, we will stop by handicraft house where you will have a chance to learn how to make palm leaf hats.
You can make your own hat and bring it home as a souvenir!
Dinner will be served with a local family.
Overnight: Simple and comfortable homestay, bedding and mosquito net are provided.- DAY3: Trat Departure (B/-/-)
Breakfast will be served at homestay.
In the late morning you will check out and say goodbye to your hosts. You will be taken to the airport or bus terminal in Trat.

- Appx 1 hour flight, 4 flights a day from Bangkok (BKK) to Trat (TDX) by Bangkok Airways
- 5-6 hours drive from Bangkok

- Koh Chang, Koh Mak or Koh Kood
- Cambodia: cross-border via Hat Lek Border to Koh Kong
