      Koh Kret is an island in the middle of the Chao Phraya River to the north of Bangkok.

      It is a settlement by descendants of the Mon people. Nowadays, Ko Kret is known for its rural atmosphere and its busy weekend market. We would like to show you something a little different and take you to explore the other parts of the island. Here, you will get to know the local way of life.

    • 🍀SOCIAL IMPACT:

      This expedition supports Ko Kret community to create awareness of the community for travel. The community has artistic potential with the local wisdom of pottery to attract travelers rather than the famous weekend market.

      🍀ITINERARY:

      • In the morning at 09.00 am our guide will pick you up from your hotel by a private van and head you to the Nonthaburi province (approximately 1-hour). Then you will take a local ferry across to Ko Kret Island.

      • Once you are on the island you will begin your bicycle tour. On this ride you will explore the local village, learn about the local culture, taste some local food and also soak in the scenery.

      • The first stop will be the Mon Temple, this Buddhist temple has an impressive Mon-style marble Buddha statue. You can also explore the local museum, which holds religious objects and local pottery. You will also get to see a 200-year-old leaning stupa.

      • Then you will also participate in a pottery workshop run by a local artist. Here, you will not only get to watch a remarkable local potter carving intricate designs, but you will also get to do your handicraft. Take your creation home as a souvenir.

      • Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

      • During this bicycle tour, we will also stop at local communities where you will be able to taste local snacks by the river.

        Afterward, you will be driven by private vehicle back to your hotel.
