THE TROPICAL WONDER OF CHANTHABURI

This expedition supports local people and two social enterprise, Baan Luang Rajamaitri Historic Inn and Chanthaburi CBT Travel.

• DAY1: Bangkok - Chanthaburi (-/L/-)

We will pick you up at your hotel in Bangkok or at the airport at 8:00 am. Then, we will drive you to Chanthaburi, the place of jewelry markets and delicious food.

You will take your lunch at a local restaurant. We recommend you to taste the curry pork with Chamuang leaves and stir-fried rice noodles with crabmeat.

In the afternoon, we will check-in at Baan Luang Rajamaitri Historic Inn. This old house was renovated to become an accommodation. They choose to preserve the original structure with the community vision for the decoration.

After this, we will take a boat trip to visit Uncle's Tom the oyster farm. Learn more about his techniques and taste fresh oyster.

In the evening, we will bring you back to your hotel. Enjoy this night to discover more about Chanthaburi food by having dinner in a local restaurant.

• DAY2: Chanthaburi - Bangkok (B/L/-)

In the morning, you will have your breakfast at the hotel. Then, we will walk around the Chantabun Community on Leapnatee road, the first road of Chanthaburi Province.

We will then go to Chanthaburi waterfront to taste some local foods and desserts. You will taste foods influenced by Thailand, China and Vietnam. You will learn how to make Kanom-God, a dessert made from rice and taste the signature drink, Kumquat Orange juice.

After this, we will visit The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. We will then visit a fruit garden at Rak Khao Bai Si Village, to learn about the agriculture and farmers' lifestyles.

You will be able to join a cooking demonstration to learn a secret recipe from them.

Lastly, you will visit Khao Bai Si Farm Women Community Group. You will try local foods made by them and do some shopping. Take this chance to by unique products.
