      2 Days | Nan | North

      HIDDEN CRAFT & CREATIVE EXPERIENCES

    • 🍀Experiences:

      • Craft experience in Nan.

      • Making a Tung Ka Khing, a piece of cloth associated with Buddhist merit making.

      • Experience the highlights of Nan Square : visit Wat Phumintr Temple, Wat Chang Kham Temple and the Nan National Museum.

      • Enjoy a lantern making workshop and offer your creation at a local temple.

      • Make some bamboo souvenirs.

      Nan province is located in the north of Thailand. With its history, you will experience a full immersion and a deeper understanding of this province.

      This 2 day-trip in Nan is the occasion to discover the main attraction and hidden spots with a local guide. Immerse yourself in this city full of stories and architectures.

    • 🍀SOCIAL IMPACT:

      This expedition supports local people and two local communities in Nan Province.

      🍀ITINERARY:

      • DAY1: Nan (-/L/D)

      We will pick you up at Nan airport before going to Wat Phra Kerd by a private van.

      Here, you will participate in making a Tung Ka Khing, a long and narrow piece of cloth associated with the Buddha merit-making. Some information will be required (height and birth year) as a Tung is the measurement of your body and soul. In the thai beliefs, you should offer your Tung to a monk in a temple to bring you luck and wellbeing.

      After this, we will go to the house of Chaog Fong Kham. This Lanna style teakwood home

       

      • DAY2: Nan Arrival (B/L/-)

      In the morning, you will have your breakfast at your hotel/resort.

      We will start the day with a lantern making workshop with the locals. In the past, it was common to offer paper lantern to the temples to bring light and happiness.

      We will take this chance to go to Wat Phra Chae Haeng to offer your paper lantern to bring happiness in your life and family.

       

      For your lunch, we will take it at a local restaurant.

       

      In the afternoon, you will learn about wearing strips of bamboo to make your own charming souvenirs.

       

      We will then take you to Nan airport.
