DAY1: Chiang Rai Arrival (-/-/-)
Arrive at Chiang Rai Airport and meet your local guide. You will then be driven by private vehicle to your hotel.
You will stay overnight at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort.
DAY2: Chiang Rai - Anantara Elephant Camp - Golden Triangle (B/L/D)
In the morning, breakfast will be served at the hotel and after that, you can take your time to enjoy a walk with elephants and learn about their behavior. This is also a nice time for you to learn about the local life of mahout!
Enjoy some leisure time in the afternoon.
In the evening you will experience a boat trip along the Mekong and Ruak River to the viewpoint overlooking the famed Golden Triangle.
Overnight will be at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort.
DAY3: Chiang Rai - Chiang Saen Lanna Ancient Town - Wellness Wisdom (B/L/D)
In the morning breakfast will be served at the hotel and after that we will drive to Chiang Saen Lanna Ancient Town. Here you can visit the ancient temple Wat Phra That Pha Ngao. This temple is over a thousand years old and is located on the riverbank of the Mekong River. You will also visit Wat Chedi Luang, which is one of the oldest temples and has the biggest Lanna Chedi of Chiang Saen.
Lunch will be at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon you will the visit the local community in Chiang Saen. You can learn about the history of wellness, Lanna wisdom. Here you will experience the traditional fire heat massage, hammer massage and learn a secret recipe for a refreshing herbal drink.
Overnight at the Legend Chiang Rai.
DAY4: Chiang Rai – Wat Rong Khun (B/L/-)
Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Then we will visit Wat Rong Khun, which is also known as “The White Temple”. This temple is one of the most recognizable temples in Thailand due to its white colour, which is said to symbolize the purity of Buddha. There are also pieces of glass (symbolizing Buddha’s wisdom) that are mixed into the plaster, which makes the temple look like it sparkles in the sun.
Afterwards it is time to depart and your local guide will lead you to Chaing Rai International Airport.
This program will be a part that could be generated community economy to ensure that every travelers' spending goes to support local people and reducing rural-urban migration at Wiang Chiang Sean Village.
