You will be picked up from hotel lobby and driven by private vehicle to the Khlong Klone Mangrove Forest Conservation Centre. From here take a boat ride with a local guide where you will get to experience Thailand’s largest mangrove forest up close. You will learn about the mangrove ecosystem, plant some mangroves and observe the monkey life.
On this boat ride we will stop at the local village of Klong Klone where you will have lunch with the locals. This is a great opportunity to learn about the interesting lives of the villagers.
After lunch, we will head back to Khlong Klone Mangrove Forest Conservation Centre and from here travel to Wat Bang Kung. You will visit the famous Wat Bang Kung temple, which is known for being a small temple hidden with the roots of a banyan tree. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and serenity of the area. You will also learn about the landscape which was the site of battle for the Siamese and Burmese warriors in the 18th century.
Next, we will visit King Rama II Memorial Park. This park was built to commemorate King Rama II dedication to arts and culture. Explore the park and learn about Thai history and culture. You will get to see some impressive artefacts in the museum, walk around the grounds and appreciate the architecture.
Then will visit the floating market in Amphawa (only weekend). This floating market is very popular for Thai people. It is known for its seafood, Thai sweets and also local wooden-shop houses that sell some interesting souvenirs. To relieve yourself from the heat you can take a boat trip (everyday) to explore the canal. Dinner at local restaurant.
Then we will take you to Asita Eco Resort/Baan Amphawa Resort & Spa, for some leisure time.
Today we will be exploring the farming community Baan Bang Phlap. This community is known for its fruit orchards and also chemical free approach to agriculture.
Enjoy a bicycle tour where you will be able to soak in the beautiful scenery and surrounding orchards. On this tour you will have a few stops where you will be able to learn about this self-sufficient and interesting village.
On the first stop you will get to see how the villagers preserve and add value to the fruit from the orchards. Here, you will be able to taste some fruit.
You will also visit a charcoal making house where you will be able to learn how to transform fruit to charcoal.
The last house we will visit is the Thai Kite Making House. Here, you will learn from a local kite maker how to make a CHULA kite. Interestingly, the kite maker guarantees that all of the kites he makes can fly.
Lunch will be served at local restaurant.
We will then drive back to Bangkok by private vehicle.
