 THE HANDICRAFT AND PICNIC ISLAND 

Pick up at your hotel in the morning, you will meet your translate for a pre-trip briefing and transfer to Ban Talae Nok Village is the fisherman village where is the place that was destroyed by Stunami in 2004, you will learn about the long history and lives of these villagers and after that you will enjoy an activity with handicraft and paint color in the Batik! Then we will explore the mangrove forest by long tail boat and the last one we will go to Gum Island for snorkel

Depart the island, say goodbye to your host and transfer to your hotel.
 

 Activities and Experiences: 

  • Ban Talae Nok Village, the village by the sea

Start the tour at your hotel, meet your translator for a pre-trip briefing and cultural orientation and after that transfer to Ban Talae Nok Village about 2 hours, then you will meet your local guide and be welcome into their way of life.

Take a walking tour of the community with your local guide to learn about the history and lives of these villagers, see an area of the village that was destroyed by Tsunami in 2004 and learn how this even affected the community.

  • Batik painting workshop

Time to enjoy an activity with a handicraft workshop and learn the art of Batik. You can create your own design or have your host draw one of you then paint color in the beautiful designs and keep your creation as a souvenir.

  • Mangrove forest

Explore the mangrove forest in a long-tail boat where you have the change to spot various birds, monitor lizards and monkeys. Then take a fascinating journey through the tidal canals and learn how the villagers are active in protecting this amazing ecosystem.

  • Gum Island

Continue your journey out to the hidden paradise of the undeveloped Gum Island only 10 km from the coast of the village. Then arrive at the white sand bays and explore the surrounding nature, after that we will go to swim and snorkel in the clear blue waters.

  • Picnic lunch on the island/ relax on the beach

  • This program will be a part that could be generated community development fund to ensure that every travellers' spending goes to support local people to develop Ban Talaenok Village which is the place was destroyed by Tsunami in 2004.
