  • Visit Mae Mae Village School
  • Bike ride near the Ping River
  • Visit Banden Temple

Itinerary:

DAY1: Chiang Mai- Chiang Dao (-,L,D)

It is an early start! Your local guide will pick you up at your hotel or at the airport in Chiang Mai. We will then drive approximately 1-hour to a local market to gather supplies before continuing to our Chiang Dao drop off point.

It is from here that we will start the morning’s relatively short trek to a waterfall where you will be able to relax in the cool waters.

For the rest of the day you will be trekking to the final destination at Mae Mae Shan village. There will be rest stops on the way as required.

You can then spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying the views and relaxing on the veranda.

Dinner will be prepared by the local villagers.

You will stay overnight at Tree House Village.

DAY2: Tree House Village- Chiang Mai (B,L,-)

Breakfast will be served at the homestay.

We will then visit Mae Mae Village School*. This small busy school teaches children from a number of ethnic groups and villages in the area. Most children have to board at the school, as their villages are simply too far to make the daily commute.

Then we will commence a 2-hour morning trek. This trek will follow a small stream that flows down from the mountains and will take you to your pick-up point. Here we will travel to our lunch spot.

After you finish lunch you will start biking. You will follow a relatively flat route near the Ping River. The countryside here consists mostly of farm communities and small villages. It is the perfect area to experience the beauty of northern Thailand. Along this bike ride we will stop to visit Banden Temple.

This will bring you to the end of the tour where you will be transported back to Chiang Mai.
