 TRAVEL BACK IN TIME VILLAGE HOMESTAY

Just less than 2 hours away from Bangkok, Suphan Buri is an ancient town rich in natural and historical heritage. The TRAVEL BACK IN TIME HOMESTAY will take you back through Thailand’s past. You will get to see traditional Thai wooden houses, learn about the importance of rice to the community and enjoy a beautiful sunset.

 Experiences:

  • Visit a Lotus Farm or Water Lilly Farm
  • Local tractor ride through the fruit orchards
  • Ride through rice fields to enjoy the sunset
  • Taste local food cooked by your hosts

 Itinerary:

Day 1: Bangkok-Countryside Canal- Suphanburi (-,L,D)

In the morning your local guide will pick you up from Bangkok (from the airport or your hotel) and lead you to Mahasawat canal where the tour begins.

You will go on a local boat ride and visit a Lotus Farm or Water Lilly Farm. Here you can pick a lotus flower and the local guide will teach you how to fold them. Then you will continue to ride down the canal and learn how to cook rice crackers, the best local snack. Then we continue our journey by taking a local boat to visit an organic fruit farm.

We will then take a local tractor ride to the fruit orchards where fruit is organically grown and free from pesticides and other chemicals. Here you can taste some of the fruit that is in season. 

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

Then you will drive (approximately 1.5-hours) to Bang Mae Mai village in the Suphanburi province. Here you will check in and meet your hosts.

In the evening, you will take local transport “Kra Tae” to the rice field and see a row of 100 sugar palm trees among the sunset.

Dinner will be served at your homestay.

Overnight: Simple and comfortable homestay, bedding and mosquito net are provided.

DAY2: Suphanburi – Bangkok (B,L,-)

Today begins with an early morning start. This is so you can go with the local people and offer food to the monks. Afterwards, breakfast will be served at your homestay.

Then you will do a cultural walk around the village and during this you will see the traditional Thai House. You will also learn how to make a broom from a coconut peel, which is something that you can only do in this village. 

Local lunch will be served at the local restaurant before you are taken to your hotel in Bangkok or if you prefer the airport.
