6 Hidden Destinations For Thailand Countdown 2020

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is hosting Amazing Thailand Countdown 2020 in hidden destinations and co-host several countdown events in big cities, aiming to generate 23.8 billion THB in tourism income during the new year holidays.

The six secondary provinces planned to host the countdown events are Sukhothai, Phatthalung, Lop Buri, Kalasin, Sa Kaeo and Ratchaburi.

The events will help disperse the number and flow of tourists, contribute more tourism income during the festive season to locals as those provinces are never been put to the tourist bucket list before. This is a good reason to have TAT promote the secondary destinations belong to the responsible travel concept if each event has been prepared for capacity and waste management as well.
