Bangkok Grand Palace will be closed in October.
Grand Palace or Emerald Buddha Temple will be teamporary closed from October 1-29, 2017 to prepare The Royal Cremation Cerermony of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
Both of local people and tourists will be allowed to pay respect to the King till September 30, 2017. After the royal cremation, the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha will be reopened to tourists and members of the public on October 30, 2017 said the royal officer.
King Bhumibol passed away on 13th October last year. Since then around tens of thousands people have been visiting to pay their respects every day. The royal funeral is scheduled to take place at Sanam Luang from October 25-29, 2017 with the royal cremation on 26th October 2017.
